Reigate and Banstead Police Safer Neighbourhood Team
Dear Residents, Welcome to the Police Update for past week. The message includes personal fraud (Scams), burglaries and vehicle thefts reported between the 23rd October 2025 to 30th October 2025.
Please Note There were 6 reports of parcel theft in the Reigate area during the week. With the nights drawing in and the festive season approaching, we want to offer a few tips to avoid someone targeting your home.
Do you know what a ‘porch pirate’ is? If you guessed someone who takes parcels that have been left unattended by delivery drivers on doorsteps, you would be correct!
 • Try to arrange deliveries for a time when you will be in • Use a company that will deliver your goods to a store or secure pick-up point instead of your house • Track your parcels so you know when they get delivered • Ensure your parcels are delivered to a trusted friend or neighbour if you know you won’t be in • Install a video doorbell to notify you of any unplanned deliveries.
If you are a victim of a parcel theft please report it.
